Man City defeats Crystal Palace in a comeback victory behind a hat trick from Erling Haaland. 1

At the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, Manchester City overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat Crystal Palace 4-2 thanks in large part to a second-half hat-trick from Erling Haaland.

With 10 points, City and Brighton & Hove Albion are tied for first place after the victory. With four points after their first four games, Palace is in 13th place.

Six minutes before the game's conclusion, Haaland was substituted to a standing ovation, but at the half, City was facing a potential recurrence of their 2-0 home loss to Palace from the previous season.

City struggled to find their rhythm, but Bernardo Silva's low shot that took a tiny deflection and beat goalkeeper Vicente Guaita in the 53rd minute signalled the beginning of an almost certain comeback.

The attacker then made a deft move inspired by Silva and turned the ball in from close range, saving his best for last.

I'm overjoyed, and it was a great time for my family and me. A hat-trick is an incredible sensation, Haaland added.

We have a trusting attitude toward one another and believe that opportunities will arise. It's about persevering. In the end, we scored four goals, which is very positive.
